The repair tool rebuilds the index and headers around video and audio data that still exists in your file. It cannot restore data that was overwritten, never written, encrypted or physically damaged. A repaired file may play with glitches, miss the last seconds, lose its sound, or not play at all. Results depend on your file, on the reference video you choose and on the player you use.
Keep your original
The tool only reads your corrupted file and saves the repaired video as a new file. Even so, keep the original and work from a copy until you have checked the repaired result.
Not a professional data-recovery service
This is a free, automated utility. It is not a data-recovery laboratory and offers no service level. For irreplaceable footage, or for a memory card or drive that is failing, consider a professional recovery service before making further attempts.
